Course on Family Counselling

Recognising that family relationship issues can arise at various stages of life and maintaining a healthy functional family is not an easy task, this course emphasises on exploring individual's issue from a family systems perspective. The most effective approach to family counselling is to understand how family members interact and communicate with each other, which encourages mutual support, communication and interaction among family members. External support may be needed at times when physiological, psychological, or social issues arise within the family and disrupt its functioning. Accordingly, individual's issues can be effectively addressed by analysing the interactions between an individual and their family members, and incorporating the family into the scope of services.
